The VIT G Block (Socrates Block) has one of the best locations in VIT. VIT G Block is close to all the messes, outdoor stadium, pool and not too far away from the academic blocks. The courier collecting location is located just beside this block, perfect for those who frequently purchase goods online. G Block VIT mainly consists of 4 bed AC and non-AC rooms. Overall the G Block is very nice with friendly staff.

Pros

• VIT G Block has a clinic in it.
• The south and north Indian messes are located in the G Block itself.
• The rooms next to the stairs are large.
• The washrooms are kept tidy by the staff.
• It features a general store, which is well stocked.
• The laundry man visits this block twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays.

Cons

• The lighting provided in the rooms and corridors could be better.
• The eastern side is dark most of the time due to the inefficient lighting.
• It doesn’t have its own badminton court.
• Washrooms in the east are less than what’s required.
